Electromagnetic shielding characteristics of carbon and glass fiber composites

Electromagnetic shielding characteristics for orientation angle and number of plies carbon fiber reinforced epoxy composites were investigated in the frequency range between 900 6000 MHz. In this study, both unidirectional bidirectional fabrics utilized as reinforcement materials to manufacture composite samples. Twill glass also used order provide a large amount flexibility. To prepare laminates measurement, hand lay-up method was preferred. Measurements carried out by using DFG 4060 signal generator HF 60105 spectrum analyzer. According measurements, it observed that electromagnetic effectiveness (EMSE) very higher when 90°, compared 0°. Another parameter affects EMSE is whether fabric or because increased EMSE. addition, has been determined less effect on than angle.
